Appointments

pen_on_diaryAppointments to see a doctor or the practice nurse can be made by telephone or in person at the surgery during opening hours. Appointments may be booked as a telephone consultation rather than attending in person. Appointments can be made up to 2 weeks in advance.

If you require a translator please inform one of the receptionists of the language you speak and that your need a translator when making an appointment. We will try our best to provide a longer appointment time and also to get connected to Language Line.

Duty Doctor Available for Urgent Medical Problems During Surgery Hours

Urgent enquiries can be dealt with on the day. Please telephone first.

The emergency doctor is on duty from 8.00am until 6.30pm. Patients will receive a call back from the Duty Doctor within 2 hours of contacting the Surgery.

If you have a medical emergency at lunchtime you can ring the practice to obtain the emergency number to get through to us. Please try and telephone before 5pm if you can because large numbers of late calls make it difficult for the doctors to manage workload.

Routine appointments are ten minutes long. If your problems need more than ten minutes we will do our best in the time we have. You can book a double appointment or make a follow-up appointment if you need more time. Please discuss this with your doctor.

Booked Appointments

The nurse is part-time and available appointment times should be checked with reception.

We also offer pre-bookable late appointments on a Monday and Tuesday from 18:30 – 20:20 and on a Wednesday from 18:30 to 20:00 for patients who are at work during the day. Please note that blood tests cannot be taken at these appointments.

Telephone consultations with either the GP or nurse are also available.

Extended Consultations

We allow our patients the option to request a double appointment if their medical query requires it.

We are closed on Thursday afternoon to allow for staff meetings and training sessions.
